Structural Stress Analysis Engineer

PROJECT OVERVIEW: This project focuses on detailed structural stress analysis of industrial, civil, and mechanical structures subjected to static, dynamic, wind, seismic, and thermal loading conditions. The scope requires rigorous analytical and numerical evaluation to ensure structural safety, serviceability, and compliance with applicable design codes. SKILLS HIGHLIGHTED: | Structural Stress Analysis | Static and Dynamic Load Evaluation | Finite Element Analysis (FEA) | ANSYS / STAAD / SAP2000 | Buckling and Stability Analysis | Fatigue and Stress Concentration Assessment | Load Path Identification | Engineering Judgment and Validation | Code Compliance (IS, AISC, ASME) | Technical Calculation Reporting PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Develop analytical and numerical models for structural systems and components. 2. Evaluate stresses, strains, and deflections under all applicable load combinations. 3. Perform static, dynamic, wind, seismic, and thermal stress analysis. 4. Identify critical load paths and stress concentration regions. 5. Assess fatigue life and buckling susceptibility where applicable. 6. Validate assumptions using engineering judgment and hand calculations. 7. Ensure compliance with applicable national and international design codes. 8. Optimize member sizing to achieve safety and material efficiency. 9. Review design drawings for structural adequacy. 10. Identify potential failure modes at early design stages. 11. Support design revisions with updated calculations. 12. Prepare detailed stress analysis and verification reports. 13. Coordinate with design and fabrication teams to resolve stress issues. 14. Support design reviews and technical discussions. 15. Provide recommendations to improve safety and constructability. 16. Maintain clear documentation for audit and approval purposes.
